This guitar was build to fulfill a promise to Pablo Cohen. After
playing the prototype for the Bent Top Guitar (#50), Pablo asked me to
please have that guitar for his Winter Guitar Festival on February 22,
2003. It was sold just a few weeks later at the GFA in Miami. This guitar
features the Bent
Top and the Player
Response system.
The
top is very old spruce. The finish is French polish with the top only
French polish and the sides and back with a light over coat of lacquer
over the French polish. The backs and sides are Indian Rosewood. The bindings
are highly figured curly maple and the rosette is hand made by
Jim Holler from spalted maple. The inner ring of the rosette is curly
maple and extends to the sound hole. The guitar includes a deluxe plush
lined plywood case with a case cover. This guitar will be shown at the
Ithaca Guitar Festival, but it is already sold. If you are interested
in the next guitar like this one, Trinity Guitar 58, please contact
Jim Holler. Number 58 is currently under construction
