The Traditional Model design is rooted in the Germanic Hauser school
of guitar building and sound. To this tradition Holler has added many
innovations such as:
a
unique back bracing
top
bracing utilizing a mix of western red cedar, European spruce and redwood
carbon
fiber rod in the neck.
All of the models are based on this design and adapted for their specific
requirements. The guitars produce a big, clear, focused sound with singing
trebles and generous sustain. The guitars are well balanced throughout
the sonic range. All instruments feature a 20th fret, a full 19th fret
and the12th fret set slightly off the body. This combination of features
provides a great visual aesthetic as well as an ease of play.
Tops are made of Engelmann Spruce, European Spruce and Western Red Cedar.
Back and sides are of Indian Rosewood, Brazilian Rosewood, Cocobloa, Curly
and Quilted Maple. Other tone woods can be special ordered. Commissions
are welcome. From time to time a guitar may be in stock and available
for sale but most are custom built. I encourage clients to be actively
involved in the design of their guitar. The result is a truly personalized
instrument.
